"Ginger" is a part if a larger series of embroidered pottery, "FECKLESS", that addresses the shift toward the devaluation of the artistic endeavor based upon its lack of functionality. By transforming useful objects, like a batter bowl, into a feckless objet d'art, Gibson & Ives question compartmentalization of creativity.
