Mark Schwenk been a gallery artist for 40 years as a photographer and over 25 years as a metal sculptor. Cheryl Langlais and Mark Schwenk have been collaborating on sculpture and tables for many years. Her decades long experience in metal and now wood led to their collaborations branching out to wood on many levels.  Shenandoah Wood and Metal and their parent artist group Frog Valley Artisans are both multidisciplinary collectives with facilities for metal, wood, ceramics and glass.

Public and private commissioned work can be seen throughout the DC and Baltimore area, up & down the east coast. Private commissions adorn Governor’s mansions in several states and ambassadors residences as far away as Poland. A hundred or more pieces can be found in private sculpture gardens and indoor spaces throughout the region. Stevenson University features a number of pieces in their permanent collection in the Guarnieri Sculpture Garden.
