"Arcuate I" by Jon Ives
Part of the Moghul series

"The vessels in my Mogul Series are inspired by the contrast and balance of the abstract curvilinear forms of Mughal architecture, the most recognized example being the Taj Mahal in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, India." -- Jon Ives
Jon Ives works as a potter that concentrates on mostly functional pieces in porcelain; however, conceptual work is his secret joy. Currently, he is working on a set of collaborative embroidered porcelain pieces with Artist Rachel Gibson to debut in the Fall in addition to his line of functional work by Jive Pottery.
