Take pottery classes at The FORD Studios.

During this class, students will hand-build two food-safe pottery pieces, a charcuterie board & matching bowl.  You will learn step-by-step in a structured environment that ends in a good result for everyone. Image provided is of a charcuterie board & bowl, just sculpted.  Finished pieces will have a shiny finish that is both microwave & dishwasher safe.  The pieces you make will be available 4 to 8 weeks after class.

The board will be approx. 11"L x 7"W.

The small matching bowl will be approx. 3.5"W x 1.25"D.

Only available for private classes at this time.

(If you have a party of at least 5 people OR are willing to pay for at least 5 class spots, you may schedule your own private Ghost Figurine class by contacting us.)

GUIDELINES:

• LIMITED SEATING: Each session is limited to 8 people.  
• LENGTH of STUDIO TIME: up to 2 hours
• AGE LIMIT:  Participants must be at least 13 years or older. There must be a supervising adults for ages 13-16.
• No one may accompany you unless they are also participating in the class.
• PICK UP: The pieces you make will be available 4 to 8 weeks after class. Please be sure to provide an email address and/or phone number to be notified when your pottery is available for pickup.
• APRONS not provided.  Please bring/wear something you don't mind getting dirty; however, you will be using non-staining porcelain clay... so it will wash out of clothing.

FEES:

• $40 per person.  This fee covers the studio time, materials, finish glazing, firing & clean up.  You make the pottery, we will glaze & fire the pieces.

*** You may cancel your reservation and receive a full refund if you email your request to cancel to theFORDstudios@gmail.com by 5pm EST three days prior to your reserved studio session.  After that, you will not receive a refund.

**** You may bring your own beverages; however, alcoholic beverages are only allowed in classes where all participants are a part of the same party or all participants consent.

**** There are 6 parking spaces in the garage attached to the rear of the building located at 103 Pendleton St, Marion VA 24354.  The spaces are clearly marked with The FORD Studios logo.  If all the gallery spaces are full, there is street parking is available on Main Street.
