Take pottery classes at The FORD Studios.

During this class, students will pattern a "Earthen Red" clay pizza stone using ball tools.  The pizza stone pictured is UNFIRED.  Once fired it will be a darker terra cotta color and will measure approximately 11" across.  The stone can be used in the oven to bake your pizza or on a trivet to keep your pizza warm on the stable.  You will learn step-by-step in a structured environment that ends in a good result for everyone.   

The pieces you make will be for pickup on or around:

• March 29th (for classes taken up to 3/10); or
• April 10th (for classes taken 3/11 or later)

Only available for the dates listed below or via private classes at this time.

(If you have a party of at least 5 people OR are willing to pay for at least 5 class spots, you may schedule your own private class by contacting us.)

GUIDELINES:

• LIMITED SEATING: Each session is limited to 9 people.  
• LENGTH of STUDIO TIME: up to 2 hours
• AGE LIMIT:  Participants must be at least 13 years or older. There must be a supervising adults for ages 13-16.
• No one may accompany you unless they are also participating in the class.
• PICK UP: The pieces you make will be for pickup on or around March 29th (for classes taken up to 3/10) or April 10th (for classes taken 3/11 or later).  Please be sure to provide an email address and/or phone number to be notified when your pottery is available for pickup.
• APRONS not provided.  Please bring/wear something you don't mind getting dirty; however, you will be using non-staining porcelain clay... so it will wash out of clothing.

FEES:

• $40 per person.  This fee covers the studio time, materials, firing & clean up.  You make the pottery, we will clean & fire the pieces.

FINE PRINT:

*** You may cancel your reservation and receive a full refund if you email your request to cancel to theFORDstudios@gmail.com by 5pm EST three days prior to your reserved studio session.  After that, you will not receive a refund.

**** You may bring your own beverages; however, alcoholic beverages are only allowed in classes where all participants are a part of the same party or all participants consent.

**** There are 6 parking spaces in the garage attached to the rear of the building located at 103 Pendleton St, Marion VA 24354.  The spaces are clearly marked with The FORD Studios logo.  If all the gallery spaces are full, there is street parking is available on Main Street.
