Take pottery classes at The FORD Studios.

During this class, students will hand-build to small dinnerware pieces including a 4"x12" sushi plate with a chopsticks cutout & a 3.5" soy bowl.  You will learn step-by-step while making the soy bowl, and then you make your own sushi plate with assistance, if needed.  If you are not a sushi person, you can always leave off the chopstick cut outs and have a hand-made snack set.  

You get to choose your plate / bowl textures & glaze colors to suit your style.

(PRIVATE CLASSES: If you have a party of at least 3 people OR are willing to pay for at least 3 class spots, you may schedule your own private class by contacting us.)

GUIDELINES:

• LIMITED SEATING: Each session is limited to 5 people. 
• LENGTH of STUDIO TIME: 2 hours
• AGE LIMIT:  Participants must be at least 13 years or older.  If under 16, a supervising adult must take the class with the minor.
• No one may accompany you unless they are also participating in the Sushi / Snack Set pottery class.
• PICK UP: The pieces you make will be available 8 to 12 weeks after your studio time.  Please be sure to provide an email address and/or phone number to be notified when your pottery is available for pickup.
• APRONS not provided.  Please bring/wear something you don't mind getting dirty; however, you will be using non-staining porcelain clay... so it will wash out of clothing.

FEES:

• $50 per person.  This fee covers the studio time, materials, & instruction.  We will do finish glazing, firing & clean up.  You make the pottery; however, the class tuition if for the instruction only.  We will make every effort to make sure your pieces survive glaze and firing, but we cannot guarantee a successful outcome.

*** You may cancel your reservation and receive a full refund if you email your request to cancel to theFORDstudios@gmail.com by 5pm EST three days prior to your reserved studio session.  After that, you will not receive a refund.

**** You may bring your own beverages; however, alcoholic beverages are only allowed in classes where all 4 participants are a part of the same party or all participants consent.

**** There are 6 parking spaces in the garage attached to the rear of the building located at 103 Pendleton St, Marion VA 24354.  The spaces are clearly marked with The FORD Studios logo.  If all the gallery spaces are full, there is street parking is available on Main Street.
